True to its name, the project focuses on aspects of Applied Mathematics in general and Mathematical Modeling in particular, by exploring real-life topics through a mathematical lens. With the mission of spreading the love for Mathematics and guiding people toward the bridge connecting Mathematics to reality, we hope to bring a “new breeze” to the understanding and application of Mathematics in our province and on an international scale. The project will strive to provide everyone with unique, engaging, and joyful experiences with Mathematics.

MAPP has organized numerous practical and meaningful activities.

• Organized online and offline training on applied math content for approximately 35 students in Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu province.

• Researched and written posts about applying mathematics to life and other applied mathematics topics for students’ reference  such as economics, finance, arts, music and sports.

• Organized the FOLDING MATH event for children in Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu province, offering a learning session to experience mathematics through the art of paper folding (40 students attended).

• Organized an event  “ The Sound of Math” event attended 40 students in Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu.

The Folding Math Event

We successfully organized FOLDING MATH, an event using origami to explore mathematical concepts, with the participation of more than 40 students. This event brought a fun and rewarding playground for students, combining mathematical activities with origami games, nurturing the love and curiosity of mathematics for children.

The Sound of Math Event

On July 17, 2025, at the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Library, MAPP organized an event  “ The Sound of Math.”

This post continues our series on Pythagorean Tuning, where mathematics is no longer dry and rigid, but transformed into melody, harmony, and emotion on the MAPP fanpage. To bring this idea to life, we organized an event featuring our own “homemade” piano—crafted from ice-cream sticks and tuned according to the principles of the Pythagorean tuning system.

More than 40 students and children embarked on a truly unique journey:

  • Listening to the fusion of numbers and sound, feeling the rhythm of Mathematics with their own ears.
  • Exploring handcrafted instruments, designed exclusively by the MAPP team.
  • Playing exciting games and sharing laughter in light-hearted yet surprising challenges.
